Unfortunately, I couldn't find a suitable topic. Let's assume a house has 2 floors: ground floor and upper floor. What disadvantages are there, apart from costs, if the bathroom is not located directly above the utility room? For example, if it is two rooms further away.

I think we are currently misunderstanding each other. Maybe I am also using the wrong terms. From the bathroom to the soil stack, the drain pipe must have a certain slope. This section is causing the problem.
I cannot imagine that the pipes on the upper floor go directly outside...

However, the soil stack does not have to be connected to the utility room. That is what I mean here.
The issue is the missing “connection” between the utility room and the bathroom.
It is not about “how it is done inside the bathroom.”

Ok, now I understand you.
That is of course correct. The bathroom and utility room do not necessarily have to be connected or adjacent.
I briefly looked at the floor plan of Lindenallee.
I assume the wastewater either drains through the technical room (utility room) or the toilet. The bathroom on the upper floor is located on the other side. As you already mentioned, the drain therefore runs through the living area.

Uh, yeah, I agree – but when did Lindenallee come into the picture? I must have missed when the original poster switched to "with attic" (?)
