ᐅ Edge insulation strips: installed from the foundation slab or the top layer of insulation?

Hello,
I’m a bit confused because I’m finding different information online, and the answers from contacts are not very clear.

On our slab, we will have 7cm EPS insulation and 2cm impact sound insulation (then underfloor heating/screed/tiles).

Online, it says that the edge insulation strip should be installed only with the topmost insulation layer—in my case, after laying the 7cm EPS—but there are also instructions saying it should be fastened directly to the concrete slab.

Would it be wrong to lay the EPS first, then install the edge insulation strip, and finally add the impact sound insulation?

Regards

So that I understand you correctly, is what’s shown in the picture wrong? This is how I would have done it.
The 3 on the 5, but nothing would go wrong with your version either.

Thank you all, I was worried that the ones I ordered wouldn’t fit.

At the moment, it’s really difficult for private individuals like me to get anything, so I wanted to ask again because there are so many different opinions out there, which can be quite confusing.

That is quite unusual for the reasons mentioned above. It would have to be a special system where this approach is used.
