How did you handle the glass in the bathroom windows on the ground floor? Frosted glass or clear glass with a curtain/blind?

The ground floor bathroom is located directly on the path to the front door, meaning every visitor passes by it on their way to the entrance.

Therefore, we considered using fully frosted glass, but maybe that would make it too dark?!?

We also have the transom window with satin-finish glass in the large bathroom upstairs. Opposite the street is a multi-family house, so we feel more comfortable. In the guest bathroom on the ground floor, we should have done the same.

Our guest bathroom with a shower is currently planned to be on the ground floor right next to the main entrance door. We will choose clear glass to have the flexibility to limit visibility as desired. Most likely, we will try several of the options mentioned here in the forum first. So far, I like the idea of films because we can change them "whenever we feel like it."

We have pleated blinds with clear glass everywhere except in the children's bathroom. There, the parapet height in the attic is high enough to prevent looking inside. We are very satisfied with the pleated blinds.

We have pleated blinds and no frosted glass; upstairs in the bathroom we do have frosted glass, but even there we later added pleated blinds. Because in winter you can see if someone is in the bathroom. Neighbors have the same, and we could always see them then.

Is it visible that someone is in the bathroom, or can you actually see who is in the bathroom?

Another question: with frosted glass, the surface on one side of the window glass is treated and therefore rough. That makes it harder to clean than a normal smooth window glass, right? So, would frosted glass (where both sides are smooth) be better in this case?

Also using pleated blinds here. Got the inexpensive white ones for about 30€ (around $33) on Amazon. They are quite easy to install and still let light through. After that, we even got pleated blinds for all the windows.
