we want to build our house as a KfW 55 energy-efficient house. What requirements do the windows need to meet?
I've only found this information: window Uw ≤ 0.90 W/(m² K).
Are there any other mandatory requirements? For example: warm edge spacer, safety, etc.
We know that our energy consultant has to advise us on this. However, we never rely solely on one opinion.
Maybe someone here knows more about this or has personal experience?
Thanks,
Best regards

How the U-value is achieved does not matter. The main thing is that it is met. However, this is no longer a challenge for window manufacturers.
What exactly do you expect to achieve by asking for a flood of details bit by bit like a squirrel stockpiling, especially without ever giving the entire project a chance for optimization?

When we finish our project, we’re also looking forward to possibly helping others.
What do we hope to get out of this?
To avoid making mistakes in the project of a lifetime.
But thanks for the information ))

I specifically asked what your expectations are when posting single-issue questions—especially since this is a complex building project. Among the regular visitors, I’m pretty much the only one who keeps the thread history of the questioners open in my 11ant memory on the screen. Others, for example, read only your window question in this thread here—even though they might have a solution for the eaves height problem.

When we have finished our project, we are looking forward to maybe being able to help others. Once you have finished, it’s too late for useful advice. Presenting a project as a whole can sometimes inspire suggestions you hadn’t yet thought to ask about. Whether you later “give back” was not the intention of my question.
