ᐅ Heat pump on a pedestal or installed directly on the floor?

Hey,

the general contractor provides an aluminum base for the heat pump. However, the responsible plumbing subcontractor doesn't like the base because the heat pump would wobble on it. The alternative is to place the heat pump directly on the tiled floor.

Are there any opinions on this? The heat pump is a Rotex HPSU Compact Ultra.

We simply placed the heat pump directly on the screed.

Does "tiles around the screed" mean that the tiles are laid around the screed? Almost like a recessed area.

Ours is decoupled and mounted on a pedestal directly on the concrete slab. The screed does not touch it, nor do the tiles. This prevents any sound transmission through vibrations.

Concrete slab with a thin layer of EPS insulation all around, then regular cast-in-place concrete on top. The heat pump is installed on this.
