Hello,

I would appreciate it if people with floor-to-ceiling windows (fixed pane at the bottom) could share how you have dressed your windows from the inside. Do you use only internal venetian blinds and/or curtains or sliding panels, or something else?

Thank you!

Personally, I think curtains are extremely important for room acoustics, especially since we otherwise have a rather clean style...
This is a very important aspect for comfort in a room. It can also be addressed in a clean style with an acoustic wood ceiling – but then the ceiling height should be high as well...

Hello

Nothing at all, we want to be able to see outside through the large windows.
And anyone who wants to can also see inside.

We only have window sheers, which are lightweight floor-length curtains that are not drawn closed. They would fit in terms of width, but no one does that here and it’s not necessary. They are basically just decorative, so the walls on either side of the windows don’t look too bare. We don’t need privacy screens because the neighbors are far away from our south-facing side, where the floor-to-ceiling windows are located. I can provide a photo if needed.

Do you have any recommendations for curtains/drapes?
The ones you can get on Amazon for around €20 are usually quite thin, cut unevenly, or just look "cheap."

@crysel: Visit a furniture store or interior decorator to see and feel fabrics in person, and have them custom-made. That way, you know exactly what you’re getting.

I’ve never thought about buying fabric on Amazon. I’d rather go to Ikea or a fabric store, so you can see and feel the material in person.
Many people prefer thinner fabrics, but if you want something neat, straight, and professionally made, you should visit a specialty store. They still exist. They’ll even come to take measurements, and then you get something custom-made.
