ᐅ Connection of the membrane to the first floor level

Hello everyone,
Our construction company has attached the membrane on the ceiling to the wall. The connection points do not look very neat to us, so we are unsure if the intended insulation will be fully effective.
This is the first upper floor, with gypsum boards installed above. Above that is the attic, followed by the hipped roof.
We would greatly appreciate your opinion.

Yes, it doesn’t seem to be properly sealed. And it needs to be airtight.
