Hello,
I have covered the space between the house and the garage.
Now I am looking for a way to fully enclose this area.
How would you approach this?
I was thinking of installing a roller shutter door.
Also, I need a recommendation for the roof. There are currently plastic corrugated panels that are cloudy and very brittle. I want to use transparent panels again because I need light there. Which panels would you recommend?
Attached is a picture to show what I mean.

I finally know how I can still have a large garden with my new build. I guess 1.5m (5 feet) instead of 2.5m (8 feet) width for parking spaces will be enough.

Just to clarify: should it be closed off at the front and back, with exits on both sides?

Well, then it must be a wall with a door, right?
Hi,
this is actually quite straightforward in this case.
You need eight supports (wood, steel, etc.—four on the street side, four on the garden side) placed under or in front of each outer roof purlin. The two middle supports are positioned with the desired gate opening. For the gate lintel, add a horizontal beam. Then attach the wall cladding horizontally to the supports. If you prefer vertical wall cladding, install three wall battens made of, for example, wood in front, and mount the cladding vertically.
If you align the supports on the street and garden sides the same way, you can 1) quickly install the same gate on the garden side as on the street side if needed, and 2) save time because the supports will be the same length.
Just be careful—roller shutters have a fairly large curtain behind them and require a lot of space above!
P.S.: Are you rebuilding the Manta completely from scratch?
