Hello,

please help me. For days, I have been drawing various layouts, thinking I found a solution, only to discard it again. This is driving me crazy.

I want built-in walk-in showers in both bathrooms, completely without doors.
In the master bathroom, a small bathtub is planned, as well as a comfortably sized walk-in shower and, if possible, a double sink.

You will find the architect’s proposal attached.
I find the shower partition in the children’s bathroom not long enough, but it seems it cannot be made longer because of the window.

In the master bathroom, the toilet is too close to the shower entrance. Perhaps the shower wall could be shortened.

Do you have any ideas?
The two drawings are mine.
Windows are not fixed and can be changed freely.

The drawing with the washing machine + dryer is the children’s bathroom.

Thanks in advance!

There are undiscovered talents in @matte1987 (at least I wasn’t aware of this until now), I think that’s great – please share more!
Quite a dark program, though.

Thank you very much!
I also really like version 4. There are some very nice cabinets you can have custom-made for the washing machine and dryer, so they don’t stand out negatively.
Would you have the bathroom door open outwards, so you can do laundry with the door open?
And do you think the shower in version 4 can work without a curtain or door? Also, is the distance between the toilet and the bathtub okay? You had space to move the toilet further to the left and apparently chose not to.

I also really like version 3. There, you can stack the washing machine and dryer inside a cabinet, and to the right there is still room for various other things.

But I always read about 1.60m (5 feet 3 inches)?
I understood that as 1.60m (5 feet 3 inches) plus an additional 70cm (28 inches) for the passage. I'm confused. I definitely want no door, and it was said here that both bathrooms are too small for that. But if it’s only about a 1.20m (4 feet) partition wall, then my wish isn’t unrealistic.

Our shower has a 120cm (4 feet) long partition wall and a 70cm (28 inches) wide passage, so the total length of the shower is 190cm (6 feet 3 inches). The width is 1m (3 feet 3 inches), which is enough.

Best regards

Ok, then I probably shouldn’t have an excessively large shower that is 2.30m long (7 feet 7 inches). I just want to manage without a door.

After 120 cm (4 feet), the "flame" of the spray cone should no longer spread significantly to the side.

I won’t say it again: misplaced priorities are fragile foundations.
Trying to scale your wishes down to the size of a small townhouse is almost impossible. When dealing with a “princess and the pea” situation, even seven dwarfs won’t help — nevertheless, I agree with the like for @matte1987’s suggestions.

For me, version 2 is still a slightly bigger favorite.

I’m just completely overwhelmed and afraid of making a really big mistake.

Then you should take a break — that’s better advice than anything more technical could be.

I like version 4. However, I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Would it be possible to have the partition walls run straight for a few centimeters like in version 1 before angling them? It would be enough for me if I could stack the dryer and washing machine. @matte1987

Has anyone actually seen a walk-in shower with a slanted layout like this in real life? Does it look odd, and do you think it would work without a door for the shower in version 4?
