Hello,

please help me. For days, I have been drawing various layouts, thinking I found a solution, only to discard it again. This is driving me crazy.

I want built-in walk-in showers in both bathrooms, completely without doors.
In the master bathroom, a small bathtub is planned, as well as a comfortably sized walk-in shower and, if possible, a double sink.

You will find the architect’s proposal attached.
I find the shower partition in the children’s bathroom not long enough, but it seems it cannot be made longer because of the window.

In the master bathroom, the toilet is too close to the shower entrance. Perhaps the shower wall could be shortened.

Do you have any ideas?
The two drawings are mine.
Windows are not fixed and can be changed freely.

The drawing with the washing machine + dryer is the children’s bathroom.

Thanks in advance!

Who would have thought, but I have no idea about installation walls.

@matte1987
Thanks for the suggestion! I like the direction. Would it also be possible to fit a dryer and washing machine in there?

True, bumping into the wall isn’t nice. I couldn’t come up with anything better. Do you like Matte’s idea, or do you find it unappealing too?

I don’t really understand why that matters, but yes, I think the idea is great, as you can see from the little likes under the post.

You wouldn’t make the partition wall longer than 1.2 meters (4 feet), or is that not what you mean?
I wouldn’t make the shower (for single use) 120 centimeters (47 inches) wide, but a length of 120 centimeters (47 inches) plus a passageway is okay.

I think likes are the second most ignored element, just behind signatures. This distorts the picture – for example, I use the likes feature all the time when I agree with a post to the extent that adding a comment would be redundant.

But I always read about 1.60 m (63 inches)?
I understood that as 1.60 m plus an additional 70 cm (28 inches) for the passageway. I’m confused. I definitely want no door, and here it was said that both bathrooms are too small for that. But if it only concerns a 1.20 m (47 inches) partition wall, then my wish isn’t unrealistic.

I would probably prefer version V4:

The dryer and washing machine can be placed side by side on a pedestal. Above them, there is space for a shelf to store detergents and so on.
However, it’s not very convenient to do laundry in the bathroom. Where do you plan to hang or fold the laundry?
Where do you store the laundry until you have enough for a full load?
In V4, you could probably integrate that into the mentioned shelf. With the other versions, it becomes difficult.

Overall, though, I don’t really like having the washing machine and dryer integrated into the bathroom.
But if that is the only option to get them upstairs, and otherwise you would need to put them on the ground floor or basement, I’d rather just accept having the washing machine in the bathroom. After all, it’s just the kids’ bathroom.

I saw your like. You are quite critical, so I was curious about your opinion. I thought you might not find it ideal either.
I am simply very overwhelmed and afraid of making serious mistakes. I am grateful for any advice and suggestions.
