ᐅ Planning a Patio and Roof Covering

Hello everyone,

building on our floor plan planning, we would now like to focus on the terrace and a suitable roofing solution.

For now, we have planned the terrace with a width of 8.65 meters (28 ft 4 in) and a depth of 3.50 meters (11 ft 6 in).
But does the terrace really need to be this wide?

We want to add a roof over the terrace. Ideally, it should at least cover the large window front so that the roof can provide indirect shading for the living room, without having to lower the blinds all the time.
It probably also makes sense to extend the roof to the garage area so you can sit there comfortably, right?

Do you have any ideas for us?

Do you still remember where you got it from?

Of course... it’s only been 1 year. Such a big investment isn’t easy to forget....

The canopy is from C&L in Elmshorn. It measures 4m x 6m (13ft x 20ft) and includes an under-roof awning, 3 vertical blinds, and LED lighting. Everything is controllable through our smart home system.

Yvonne,

where exactly do you live in the north? Tuinmaximaal (direct sales) delivers and installs up to 200 km (125 miles) around Venlo. They are really affordable and can also provide laminated safety glass (VSG) up to 5 m (16.4 ft) wide with two posts. Otherwise, there are at least two more partner companies in the north (for example Verasol in Hagen) that install and deliver Tuinmaximaal products. Unfortunately, there are none in the south of the country; otherwise, they would have definitely been considered in our recent shortlist.

PS: Company Schweng, located near Braunschweig. They also offer a good price/performance ratio.

Weinor is only “distributed” anyway.
It is supposed to have the disadvantage of rafters being reversed. I didn’t look into it further, as we now have 20 offers from Hanse-Carport in all different versions.
On Sunday, we drove through Hamburg and visited the stores and showrooms.
The owner (self-employed) happened to be in the store and let us in. He was very nice and didn’t act like a typical salesperson. That deserves bonus points.

Near Hamburg.
T. I had them open on my screen for a few days... I think they didn’t offer something important to us... side panel? Awning? Or maybe the posts were too narrow for me? Something was off... they’re about 500 km (310 miles) away. For installation warranty reasons, I’d prefer someone “local.”
I also contacted Schweg but haven’t received a reply.

Did you also visit Sonne Rund Um? They have a great showroom, but they wanted nearly €40,000 for the patio roof including the features described above...
