Hello,

What is your opinion on infrared heating?
We currently heat our single-family house of about 110 m² (1,184 ft²) with gas. Since it is not very well insulated, we have an energy consumption of around 32,000 kWh per year (±).

These infrared flat panel heater providers’ websites claim that with such an infrared panel heater, our demand would only be about 6.9 kWh?!

Can someone help me understand how that is possible?

It depends on the application!

Since when does a technical solution determine the demand?

That is hardly possible. Misinformation and customer attraction! Demand and consumption are two completely different things!

Best regards.

Hello,
definitely NO.
Infrared has no advantage.
You could also place a thermostat in the room. The same energy consumption and the same feeling of warmth...
Look into split air conditioning units...
