Hello everyone,

Since I have no prior experience, I would like to get some general information.
Our new building will be heated using an air-to-water heat pump.
What would generally and overall be the advantages, potential savings, and costs of installing a photovoltaic system on the roof? Is it worthwhile or not?

Let me guess: you’re one of those who have to justify the benefits of photovoltaic systems?

Everyone gets what they deserve.

I’m not trying to rationalize anything. In fact, I’m not calculating anything at all in this respect. It either fits or it doesn’t.
We would simply like to have one.

May I politely ask what appeals to you about a photovoltaic system, considering the points mentioned above?

You must have a reason why you would spend the money.

Or is this just going to be another comment without substance?

One-sided fits better.

Or is this just another joke?

Why are you so interested in this? And why do I have to have a reason that convinces you (in your words)? I’m not interested in convincing you at all. I also don’t care why you don’t want one. That’s why I say, this is not a religion forum.
But I’m happy to answer anyway:

Call it naive idealism. Call it desire to have one. Call it, if you like, unnecessary nonsense.
It doesn’t matter.
We want one. You don’t.
So what now?

Hi Hampshire,

Okay. That might be the case. I just see the drawbacks.

However, increased fire risk combined with a much more complicated and dangerous extinguishing process, along with the very likely uneconomical outcome, leaves no other conclusion for me at the moment.

But as I said... if you can/want to provide concrete arguments, I’m happy to listen.

I’ll probably get blocked again...
Either way

Best regards to all
