Hello,

by now there are quite a few different household appliances for cleaning floors, such as robotic mops, electric wet mops, and steam cleaners. Do you use any of these, or do you simply use a bucket with a mop?

Best regards,
Sabine

The result depends on the cloth. For mopping the floor, I use these microfiber cloths that are actually intended for polishing glass. Slightly damp with all-purpose cleaner, and done. It never looked cleaner with all the special mops.

My child has a vacuum/mopping robot on laminate flooring. The vacuum function works great, but the mopping doesn’t do much since the water output is very low. It makes the work much easier because the little device works quietly in the background and everything is done when you come home. The cost was also reasonable. However, it’s not very thorough around corners and obstacles (similar to a car wash). I still use a traditional mop when needed.

We have been using the Steam XXL steam cleaner from V***** for some time now. It works great and doesn’t require any cleaning agents. First, we vacuum with the cordless handheld vacuum, then go over the surfaces with the steam cleaner. Done.

Only on the bathroom tiles do slight streaks appear, so we mop with a regular mop if we want a particularly nice finish.

Dyson V6 for quickly cleaning up crumbs, ash, sand, or the sofa.
Neato robot vacuum for everyday use.
When needed, for example if the child vomited or guests are coming, a Crosswave vacuum mop.

I can fully recommend all three devices without reservation.

Our cleaning lady vacuums and mops thoroughly and neatly. And I don’t lose a parking space.
Just kidding: We had a floor-cleaning robot, but because of the little kids, toys are constantly scattered around, and the robot can’t do its job properly. So, we switched to manual cleaning.
