hum_10vorne7 Jan 2020 14:27Hello,
I installed an IKEA kitchen cabinet (Metod) in a holiday apartment – not by myself (= chaos), but with two acquaintances who have some experience in this area. We managed to get everything done except for the panel of the built-in dishwasher Rengöra.
According to the Rengöra instructions, the Metod cover panel should be securely mounted using the included brackets.

However, I was sold the Vaglig rail, which is intended for implementing the panel as a sliding door (?). This seems like a better idea in principle, as it provides a much more stable option for a door that you always pull open quickly. So, I used the rail and decided against the aforementioned mounting method.
I attached the rail to the door and then to the dishwasher according to the instructions.

The problem is that the door hangs too low. It has a bit of play, meaning I can pull it up and down, but even when pulled all the way up, it doesn’t close the gap – let alone be fixed in that position. The three of us puzzled over it and couldn’t find a way to attach the rail and therefore the door differently.
Maybe someone has an idea?

I believe that the rail is not suitable for this front. The instructions for the rail only show VOXTORP in the version as a continuous front; all other examples are multi-piece fronts.
Also, for the dishwasher, the icons indicate a continuous non-VOXTORP front going directly to the Rengöra (page 13 in the pdf) without using the rail.

And even for the dishwasher, the icons indicate a continuous non-Voxtorp front going directly to the Rengöra without using the rail (page 13 in the PDF). In the Vaglig manual (not the PDF, but my printed version), page 4 refers directly to page 23 for single-piece panels. However, I don’t see any name for the panel there, neither Metod nor Voxtorp. Is the PDF manual different, or can you only tell from the picture?
Are you referring to the Vaglig manual in both sentences?
On page 20 and 21 of the Vaglig guide, you can see in the top left corner a note indicating that one refers to "Voxtorp" (with the handle recess at the top) and the other to a different type. This "other" front is treated throughout the guide only as a multi-piece version, never as a continuous front.
In the Rengöra guide on page 13, you will find a similar note for the "other" front, stating that it should be mounted directly next to the dishwasher and that the Vaglig rail should not be installed first.

Thank you for your email.
The products RENGÖRA dishwasher, Ringhult front, and VÄGLIG rails are compatible with each other.
Please refer to the installation manual for the connection rails, specifically the note on page 25 (if you have a RENGÖRA dishwasher, please continue the installation on page 27 and skip page 25).
If the front still does not fit afterward, please contact a staff member in the kitchen department at your local IKEA store.
I wish you a pleasant day.

I just found it remarkable that the continuous version of the front panel doesn’t appear in the manual. They make the effort to illustrate the variants 40/40, 40/20/20, and 20/20/20/20 separately so even the most inexperienced person can assemble it correctly, but then they simply leave out the 80 version?!
