hb-juliaHello,
the company Ytong offers some quite nice houses. However, we don’t have any knowledge about construction and don’t want to do any work ourselves. But the company is currently advertising with this aspect. Is this only suitable for highly motivated people?
Or can/should you leave everything to them, and they then build a house where you could save up to 60,000 Euros (about 175,000 EUR instead of 115,000 EUR) through self-construction, ending up with a real urban villa?
What are your opinions and experiences regarding this?
Thank you!

... and then there are all the additional costs and other expenses:

That seems like an unbeatable price.
Or is there a catch?

There are certainly various ways to build affordably, even cheaper than the examples often shown in this forum. However, to make this work, you need to know what you’re getting into and have a good understanding of the subject. As a novice building your first house, this isn’t possible. Without this knowledge, things will go wrong. You can regularly see what that means on TV.
You have been asking questions here for many years and should have gained some more knowledge by now.
For example, in 2016 you asked about a company claiming to build about 20% cheaper than other companies in your area. That company has since gone bankrupt. This is no coincidence. It probably didn’t end without some disappointment for one or another homeowner.
It’s better not to build differently from how you have so far, or how almost everyone else here does: with a local general contractor and support from an independent expert before signing any contract.

You won’t get a house for 175,000 or 115,000, and definitely not for 205,000 euros. Especially not a town villa. Go to Town & Country or Heinz von Heiden and ask for advice on the cost of an affordable house. For 150,000 euros, you can get a Flair 113 plus land and additional costs.
