ᐅ Structural opening size for the door to the utility room

How wide does the rough opening for the utility room door need to be to allow both the boiler and hot water tank to fit through? This concerns a single-family house.

88.5 cm (35 inches) should be enough. This results in a clear passage width of nearly 82 cm (32 inches).

He said that the equipment wouldn’t fit through a 76mm (3 inches) structural opening and therefore wanted to plan part of the wall to the guest room using drywall. Well, if the appliances are already 65cm (26 inches) wide, there might be brackets around them to make carrying easier, and fingers holding them also need some space. A shell construction of 76cm (30 inches) means a maximum finished width of 71cm (28 inches).

I also find that too narrow.

Is the washing machine also located there? Getting a laundry basket through the door can then be quite tight.

The large AAA+ freezers from Bosch Siemens also do not fit through 76cm (30 inch) doors—at most, just once, during the shell construction phase.
