ᐅ Stringer partially in front of window – should the stringer be notched out?

chrisw81Dear forum members,
We have just received the plans for our U-shaped staircase.
As we feared, part of it will run in front of the hallway window.
One idea from the staircase builder is to cut out the stringer in the visible window area and add an extra tread that extends in front of the window.
It looks good on the drawing at first, but I’m not sure if it will look good in real life with such an irregular stringer...
Certainly, the window could make it look nice again, but I’m still uncertain...
Attached are photos of the plan...
Thank you for your opinions!

Is the window already fixed in that position? Otherwise, I would recommend two smaller windows that follow the staircase. If still possible and if it also fits visually.
For us, three narrow but tall windows were planned for the stairwell. I then changed it. The windows now run alongside the staircase going up.

For us, three narrow but tall windows were planned in the stairwell. I then changed it. The windows now run basically along the staircase upwards. The window is already installed. Nothing can be changed anymore.

I would have left it as is. Just google "staircase in front of window." There are several photos showing very similar situations. I don’t necessarily see it as a problem.I can imagine that this irregularity caused by the missing stringer might not be very noticeable since it follows the window line. But it probably won’t look perfect. Apparently, the stair designer was bothered by it and therefore suggested the new version. He might know what he’s talking about...
