Hello,

I am considering having fiber-reinforced screed with a slope installed in the garage. On top of that, a two-component epoxy resin coating—that would actually be my ideal solution.

What are your experiences with epoxy resin coatings? How durable are they?
How does the material hold up if a tool or part is dropped on it? Can it be repaired easily?

We have a raw concrete slab that is 15cm (6 inches) thick.
The area is approximately 70m² (750 square feet).

You can forget it; it won’t last permanently. Have a professional apply the coating with 5 work steps, 2 to 3cm (about 1 inch) thick. It will last 100 years. You can skip the screed; a concrete floor is sufficient.

What exactly is that?

The floor is sanded, gaps are filled with resin, then sanded again, primed, coated with a two-component compound, optionally sprinkled with material for grip and appearance, followed by a final layer of paint.

And who offers something like this? How much does it cost?
What is the alternative if you don’t want tiles?

There are quite a few options. Concrete with water glass, two-component epoxy (as explained by Bookstar), stone carpet, cast asphalt... There are specialized trades for each of these. You can find them quite easily through Google or by consulting the architect.
