Our plot has a slight slope that we would like to level out with a wall...
The wall will be approximately 12 m (40 feet) long and 20–50 cm (8–20 inches) high.
Is it possible to build this without a concrete footing? Just with crushed stone?
What should I pay attention to? Specific types of stones?
Adhesive?
Moisture barrier?
Drainage membrane?
There is lawn on one side, and the other side is open ground.
Any other tips?
Thanks! Good luck

We recently completed building a wall like this ourselves, without a concrete footing. It is two formwork blocks high. We placed a thick layer of gravel underneath and compacted it. We set the formwork blocks firmly in concrete screed (coarse mix), inserted reinforcement steel, and then filled it with the same concrete screed. The first half of the wall was built a year ago and has stood without any settling since then.

Why is there still a connection pillar standing there?!It’s probably required by regulations in our federal state...
