It would be great if some of you could share pictures of your terraces. With so many options available, it can be difficult to make a decision.
What materials and colors did you choose, and why? What has your experience been like after 5 years or more? How large is your terrace? What did you pay for it? Have you incorporated any features such as umbrella stands, raised garden beds, or similar elements? Did you do the work yourselves? Do you know any reliable suppliers for materials that you would recommend? What would you do differently next time?
There are surely many other homeowners who would appreciate photos and tips. Thanks in advance!

... but it’s not any better...?!?Well, the quality is definitely quite different. Concrete is still concrete, even if it’s branded KANN. The ratio between production effort and purchase price is completely off. I would never pay more than €20-25 for concrete pavers/slabs.

I would never pay more than 20-25€ (22-27 USD) for concrete pavers/slabs. For 20-25€ (22-27 USD), you get what’s typically used in driveways. The Farini series from KANN is sealed, so it’s not typical DIY store quality. But yes, it is concrete. The same slabs are available from KANN’s DIY store range for 29€ (32 USD), unsealed and with the same barefoot feel as driveways.
EDIT: I checked the offer again; it’s actually 47.50€ (51 USD) per square meter.

What a mess! OBI just canceled our terrace slab delivery! We picked them out in September and specifically asked if they would still be available in October – “yes, no problem.” Now we need them and, surprise: no longer available. The same happened to us today with laminate flooring from Herkules… except we had already paid for it because we were told it would definitely be pre-ordered. My husband is trying to sort it out right now. This is really frustrating and annoying!

Since the builders are already measuring, we can’t delay much longer and urgently need an alternative. Does anyone know where around Leipzig we can still find a large selection of patio slabs? We’ve already checked OBI and Hornbach, and would be willing to choose something from there if necessary. But there wasn’t anything that got me really excited. We didn’t want to spend more than about 40 Euros per square meter (around 4.00 USD/sq ft). Any tips? Man, man, man… what kind of builders are these? Are they disappearing to some remote place next week before winter sets in?!
You’ve already been living in the house for 4…? 5? years, and now you’re starting to panic?
