Hello everyone,
I am very interested in hearing what you liked most about your house after completing the build. Maybe also things that turned out well by chance or features that, in hindsight, made you wonder how you ever lived without them.
Thank you!

Beforehand, we convinced ourselves through extensive online research (despite the expert’s opinion) that everything was bad and always considered all risk factors in the worst possible way. We completely imagined the worst since it was a life-changing decision. After the purchase, we are happy that, as a result of the research and the preliminary inspections carried out, we made the right conclusions despite our fears and bought the property in a very good location in Berlin.

Oh yes, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery is a huge comfort improvement. In the past, after a night of heavy partying, I would wake up in the bedroom almost suffocating. Now I wake up in the morning and the air is fresh. A dream. So mechanical ventilation with heat recovery is definitely planned.

Unfortunately, everything is on the phone, and that makes them come out so poorly... The forum actually works very well with phone uploads... in fact, better than with a computer.
The staircase. The carpenter only showed us a 30cm (12 inch) piece of wood and an A6 printout of a "3D animation" because "the cartridge was just empty"... They were really annoyed about something else at the time, so we told them to just get on with it.
When everything was finished and packed in plastic and cardboard, we only saw how beautiful the staircase really was after moving in and unpacking it. It’s the nicest and most complete staircase in the entire new development, as the visible side concrete of the upper floor slab, for example, is also generously clad with beech wood.

because, for example, the exposed concrete on the side of the floor slab above is also generously covered with beech wood. Visible covering? That sounds contradictory to me...
