Hello everyone,
We are planning to buy a 20m² (215 sq ft) kitchen from Team 7, ideally with an island and Miele appliances.
Our budget is 50,000 euros. Does anyone have something similar and can tell me if this is feasible price-wise or if we are way off? Which type of wood would you recommend and for what reasons? Apart from personal taste, of course... in terms of the wood’s hardness or possible color changes over time. What are your general experiences with Team 7, or are there equivalent alternatives? Thanks in advance.

With that budget and your preference for a wooden kitchen, a carpenter could also be a good option! Regarding Team 7, I can only share that my parents have a Team 7 kitchen. If I remember correctly, it’s made of beech wood, and even after 10 years, it still looks almost like new. I think you definitely can’t go wrong with Team 7, and your budget should be enough for a substantial kitchen, including quality appliances.

The overlap between online planners/discussers and Team-7 buyers is, as expected, quite small there. I can imagine that.
This forum tends to attract users with very tight budgets, so they either choose an affordable branded product or Ikea.
Nolte and similar brands also make people happy.
And wood in its natural form is not to everyone’s taste.
As for whether it has to be Miele... there was a thread about that as well. Miele may have justified its reputation in the past. Nowadays, whether you want to install a very expensive electrical appliance when you know you will never use all its functions is questionable, especially when appliances costing half as much can do the same.
If I could afford it, I would probably lean more towards brands like Gaggenau.

As for whether it has to be Miele... there was a thread about that once. Miele might have had its justification in the past. Nowadays, it’s questionable to invest in a very expensive appliance when you know you’ll never fully utilize it, especially since devices that do the same for half the price exist.
If I could afford it, I’d probably lean more towards brands like Gaggenau. My parents-in-law have a 25-year-old Team 7 kitchen that still impresses us. We definitely want a wooden kitchen, especially because I really like Team 7’s 3-layer system—after all, wood naturally moves and can warp... I don’t necessarily have to have Miele; I’ll get some advice first...
With that budget, I would also consider consulting a cabinetmaker. They can provide high quality, but you have much more flexibility in the design because a base cabinet doesn’t have to follow standard sizes—it can be, for example, 87.5cm (35 inches) wide.
Team 7 is certainly very good, but there you have to stick to the modular system.
We initially wanted Gaggenau appliances but ultimately chose Miele. The decision was based on online reviews—Gaggenau didn’t come out very well. Visually, I still think Gaggenau is by far better, I admit.
