we are currently planning an L-shaped bungalow with the following details.
--> It would be great to get some critical feedback on our current (own) design (Image 1).
This design is based on the Town & Country Perfect 111 bungalow (see Image 2).
Due to the specified roof pitch and roof shape, there will likely be an attic space – so far, I am unsure what the best use for it might be.
Thank you very much!
Development plan/restrictions
Plot size: 540 sqm (5800 sq ft)
Desired living area: 120 sqm (1300 sq ft)
Slope: none
Number of floors: L-shaped bungalow
District heating
Underfloor heating
Technical room and pantry combined – accessible from both sides
Roof type: gable roof (mandatory) 30-45 degrees
The gable orientation of the main gable is unfortunately predetermined (long side, see site plan, Image 3)
No basement, bungalow
Number of residents: couple currently with one child (0 years old)
Garage or carport with roof facing the entrance
A well-accessible bicycle storage would be important for us
Building site in Baden-Württemberg (BW)
Thank you very much!

Phew, the kitchen might end up being tight or very cramped. The utility room also serves as a laundry room, right? So where would, for example, the washing machine and dryer go? With two doors, there is almost no usable wall space.
I think there is still a lot that needs to be addressed, but luckily the experts here will help!

I think there’s still a lot to be worked out, but we have the experts here! Thanks. Right now, the dryer sits on top of the washing machine. That wouldn’t be a big issue. The kitchen door might open inward or possibly be a sliding door.
Without specific dimensions and some example furnishing, it’s difficult to judge, but I agree with @Muc1985.
The utility room ... the equipment will probably just fit through the two doors. There is little space left for anything else.
Is the 9sqm (97 square feet) room reserved as a child’s bedroom? Otherwise, maybe guest room/office?
The base model is probably more Danwood Perfect 111 than Town & Country.
Ytong (117 K) provides an example floor plan, which I have rotated here to fit your plot.

The washing machine would likely have to go in the bathroom. It fits exactly within the 15 m (49 feet) building envelope. It might be possible to make it a bit wider. There is also a version of the plan that replaces the guest room/office with an internal staircase and a small pantry behind it. This would allow for an additional child’s bedroom and a guest room/office on the upper floor. With modifications, the living/dining/kitchen area could also be designed as an open plan. Alternatively, you could turn the current dining/living area into dining/kitchen and make a separate sofa/TV retreat from the kitchen.

Is the 9 sqm (97 sq ft) room intended as a spare children’s room? Otherwise, maybe guest room/office?
The base model is probably the Danwood Perfect 111 rather than Town & Country.

The washing machine would probably need to be placed in the bathroom. With 15 m (49 ft) it just fits within the building envelope. You might be able to make it a bit wider. There’s also a version of this plan with an internal staircase instead of the guest room/office, with a small pantry behind it. That would allow adding a children’s room and a guest/office room on the upper floor. With some modifications, you could also make the living/dining/kitchen area completely open plan. Alternatively, you could rearrange the current dining/living area to dining/kitchen and convert the kitchen into a separate sofa/TV retreat. Thanks for that! Danwood exactly – sorry – not Town & Country.
