Why was the design created as it is now? The design is almost exactly what we planned. Only the room sizes and layout were adjusted.

What is the most important / basic question about the floor plan summarized in 130 characters?

I would simply like to know if at first or second glance the layout could be more functional. Thank you very much.

I had considered sharing the floor plan of Scanhaus Marlow Marlow here since we are currently building it and it is similar to the previous design, but I decided against it because of the missing room. Whether the living room will feel cozy, I can report on in a few months.

Do you mean that the small windows won’t have much impact and are more impractical?
They won’t look stylish from either the outside or inside. Instead, the glaring laser-like light from these narrow window slits will reflect off every speck of dust along the cabinets and TV sides—highlighting them, which is, well, a kind of style I suppose. These light beams next to the screen make edge sharpness difficult to perceive—aside from any image changes on these "side screens." A theoretical stroke of genius for the round recycling bin, if you ask me.

Just saw Scanhaus Marlow Marlow, it’s even better – but also bigger.

Hello, I really like it. How much space is actually available for the TV there? I can’t quite tell. Or to ask differently, how much space is practical?

Would it help if I shared our floor plan with the dimensions here? Or would that just clutter this thread? We only made two small changes plus one mirroring.

Well... it seems that different standards apply today compared to 10 years ago.
And of course, it depends on the TV and personal preferences:
From 3.50m (11.5 ft) it feels comfortable.
