Why was the design created as it is now? The design is almost exactly what we planned. Only the room sizes and layout were adjusted.

What is the most important / basic question about the floor plan summarized in 130 characters?

I would simply like to know if at first or second glance the layout could be more functional. Thank you very much.

I really liked the idea, and it should look "stylish" both inside and outside.

More likely for a Stuyvesant to go through the eye of a needle (or something like that) *SCNR*

Here is another option for gathering ideas. Living room open up to the roof.

Thank you! At first glance, interesting. Let’s take a closer look together this evening.

Do you mean the small windows won’t be noticeable later and are rather impractical? If so, why?

Interesting at first glance.
I just noticed Scanhaus Marlow Marlow has an even better one – but it’s also larger.

Floor plan: Open living/dining area with kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet, hallway, guest toilet, utility room, and extra room.

Modern single-family house with large glass front, terrace, and lounge furniture in the garden.

But I wanted to show the exterior view again. I would prefer a hip roof overall and only put gable roofs on the bay windows.

I'm not quite sure what to think about a centrally located living room. It just doesn't seem to create a cozy atmosphere.

Okay, that’s a matter of taste. You could swap the kitchen, living area, and dining table in the Scanhaus Marlow Marlow layout. If needed, you can bring in light through the roof.

Well, and of course by using skylights.

Edit: I just noticed—does it lack a home office? Right? Then sorry—forget about the Scanhaus Marlow Marlow.

And one room is missing. But still, something could possibly be adapted there. The dining area in a bay window has a certain charm.
