Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Is it just a coincidence that it’s at Lake Ammersee @Solveigh?

Looks stunning. Typical for Lake Constance.
It will definitely be a great hillside project on a large plot.

May I ask where you got the L-shaped concrete blocks and how much you paid for them?

Speaking of L-shaped concrete blocks – the first ones were installed at our site yesterday:

Construction site at the house: basement entrance, window, wall insulation, earthworks.

This is for our basement stairs – but there will be more to come.

I don’t yet know how much we are paying for them. So far, I’ve only seen the delivery note, and there was no price listed on it.

Inside, it’s getting brighter as well, since the last walls are being painted white and the ceiling on the top floor is almost completely finished!

The kitchen also looks nicer in white.

Interior of a shell construction: wooden ceiling, stacked boards, cable drums, construction tools.

And just as the stack of three-layer panels in the picture above is shrinking, the top floor is becoming more beautiful:

Bright interior with light wooden plank ceiling, round ceiling opening with cable, construction scaffolding.

The gallery is finished, with the opening for our eye-catcher – a modern chandelier:

Modern living room with floating circular light rings above sofa, large window fronts visible.

The bathroom ceiling will soon be completely installed as well:

Two construction workers on ladders attaching wooden panels to a sloped ceiling inside.

Guest toilet in white:

Unfinished interior with window, water connections on the wall, and bucket.

Ah – I’m already feeling quite excited!

I wouldn’t have expected such a spacious interior around the light fixture inside the house. What kind of lamp is that?
It’s wonderful how everything takes on its colors and shapes. The rooms feel bright and airy, which I really like – and of course, the irregular wood paneling on the exterior as well.

The light fixture is called Loop – from an Italian manufacturer, but don’t ask me for the name. It is custom-made. For us, the lowest and largest ring is 120cm (47 inches) in diameter. However, it can also be made larger or smaller.
