Hana Müller29 May 2019 22:40Good evening everyone,
We are the future owners of a single-family house that will be completed in October 2019.
Today, we encountered an unpleasant surprise and would really appreciate your opinions.
We visited the Brömse showroom for the selection process and chose our windows and front door there. We liked a front door in the showroom and ultimately decided on that door (the model is quite expensive, but we thought at least then we’d know exactly what we were getting). This door was foil-wrapped in walnut color on both the inside and outside.
Yesterday the carpenter finally came and installed the windows and front doors, and the surprise was: the front door is only walnut-colored on the outside, the inside is white.
But we want exactly the door that was in the showroom, FOIL-WRAPPED ON BOTH SIDES.
Attached is the carpenter’s quote. Can you tell if it states that we wanted foil only on the outside? It was very important to us that we get exactly the door shown in the showroom, and if it was supposed to be different, shouldn’t the seller at least have pointed that out???
Thank you for your opinion.

Door panel as shown in the display. If I’m not mistaken, that’s the decisive sentence. This applies to me from both sides.
Have you already spoken with the company? I’m surprised the door is already being installed at your place. There are still so many trades to come. Scratches and dents are practically inevitable.

Simply file a complaint with the supplier.
The specification text says nothing about the foil; only the phrase "as in the showroom" might refer to it.
And have the door removed again anyway, regardless of whether the foil is applied correctly or not. It should be installed last.
Unless you are working with a general contractor or developer and have no separate trades on site – then it’s clear who is responsible for any damages.
