Hello everyone!

I would like to hear your opinions on our long-prepared floor plan, so I’m starting a new thread just before submitting the building permit / planning permission with the current design of our single-family house.

These are the preliminary drafts for the building permit / planning permission, and this is my last chance to review everything and point out any issues.

Basically, everything fits our needs, but before finalizing the detailed planning, there is still some flexibility and the floor plan might be adjusted.

I would be very grateful for your suggestions, ideas, and criticism!

Greetings from Leipzig!

What’s wrong with the bidet?

Everything’s fine, it’s just that most homeowners don’t even consider having one.

What is that strange hybrid at the bottom of your plans? It’s too narrow to be a room, but as a corridor it doesn’t lead anywhere???

You mean: this is the pantry under the stairs, but the slope isn’t shown there, so you have to imagine the space being diagonally cut in height? — I would straightforwardly call that a sloppy mistake.

Not accurate, but since the last images left out the full design, here’s an explanation: this is the pantry located under the stairs, arranged so that the stair rise is missing in this picture. Above the pantry, the stairs continue at a height of 1.35 m (4 ft 5 in).

This is what I meant: the ceiling height there ranges between half and the full story height, meaning that only something about half-height can be placed at the end of this duct.

Exactly. But this way, the space under the stairs doesn’t go to waste.
