ᐅ Connecting the dishwasher to the hot water supply—does it make sense?

Hello everyone!
According to the description, the Miele dishwasher we are getting can be connected to the hot water supply.

Since our KFW55 new build already includes a solar system with a 400-liter (106-gallon) hot water tank, and there are only two people in our household, I wanted to ask if it makes sense from an energy cost perspective to connect the dishwasher to the hot water supply and what your experiences are with this.

Thank you very much!

The additional costs are related to the washing machine to be purchased, which requires a separate hot water supply line.

We will get the dishwasher (!!) anyway, regardless of whether we connect it to the hot or cold water supply...

For us, it’s solely about the dishwasher.

According to Miele, however, the connection is only allowed up to 60 degrees Celsius (140°F)... With normal hot water, wouldn't it exceed that?

This is about a dishwasher, which only has one connection.

With your solar thermal system, you will exceed that.

Thank you very much!
Then the topic is off the table anyway...

Hello

No, the 60 degrees Celsius (140°F) is not exceeded.
Solar thermal hot water systems are operated with a domestic water mixing valve to prevent scalding.
Who would want to draw water at, for example, 85°C (185°F) storage temperature directly at the washbasin?

Right, the storage temperature doesn’t come directly from the tap... Friday
