Hello everyone,

I would like to ask for your opinions or experiences. Two house corners look like this (see photos).
Is this a defect...? A mistake...? Or is this normal?

Corner area of two painted plaster walls: left dark gray, right light gray, floor visible.

Two vertical plaster walls forming a corner; left blue-gray, right light gray/white, floor with mats.

Corner of a white-gray, rough exterior wall with dark base; floor with construction debris.

Two walls: left light, roughly textured wall and right dark wall with a shadow line in the middle.

Exterior wall corner: light left plaster surface next to dark right wall; construction site equipment below.

Close-up of a roughly textured light gray exterior wall; right dark stone wall with soil.

Construction site photo: white wall on the left, dark stone wall on the right, soil, gravel, pipe in front.

It’s not about any "technical" disadvantages..........if I pay XXX amount for a plaster facade, then I expect the corresponding quality, right......??

Then just report it to customer service. We built with Bien-Zenker in 2017, and any issues were always resolved to our satisfaction.

This could be due to the construction method related to the wall structure of the prefab house.
Next door, there is a prefab house from another manufacturer that has a horizontal "joint" in the plaster between the ground floor and the upper floor. It also looks bad but apparently that’s how it is.

I agree with one user that this likely does not affect the proper function of the external render. However, blaming the wall construction or the modular building method to justify it is completely wrong in terms of effect.

The work simply wasn’t done correctly. A base coat render is, among other things, meant to “even out” any irregularities in the wall structure, regardless of what type of wall construction is used.

In this case, the original poster simply neglected it. As a result, they will now have to follow up with the contractor, and since the tradespeople of larger general contractors often travel 300 km (185 miles) or more, it will take a while before anything happens—if anything happens at all.

There is also a guideline for the visual assessment of surfaces. This guideline clearly states that the surface should appear uniform and free of stripe marks. In my case, this did not quite work out. I have reported this to Bien-Zenker and am now waiting for a hopefully positive response.
