Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Is the mother-in-law moving in, or why are you doing that?

We’ve now started the electrical work in the garage.

In the end, there will be about 40 to 50 outlets.
I’m also a fan of having many outlets and believe that if you’re building new, it’s better to go big rather than skimp. But 50 outlets in and around the garage? The saying about using a sledgehammer to crack a nut doesn’t even come close. That almost falls under the category of a nuclear first strike…

Could you briefly explain why so many?

I have 5 electrical outlets in the garage and I think I have never used 3 of them...

The elaborate installation with the (very) many electrical outlets seems to be something you enjoy. It doesn’t matter at all how many outlets others need. I think it’s great when people do what they want without bothering others – and having many outlets in the garage will hardly affect anyone else.

Better to have too many electrical outlets than too few.
But there must be a reason for having so many. I’m just curious why such a number is needed.

To be honest, I prefer the approach of adding a power strip here and there later on if needed, rather than regretting having unused sockets because I have "too many" or they are not well placed, which would mean I paid unnecessarily.
