Actually, we would prefer to avoid building. Unfortunately, existing properties within a 20 km (12 miles) radius have become quite expensive, and affordable rental houses with small gardens are simply scarce.

Until now, we have been living in an old rental apartment without a garden. We would like to change that, but there is a lack of options. The listings on various platforms are overcrowded with families looking for affordable housing.

Who is familiar with this situation, and how do you deal with it?

Actually, roads should be funded through vehicle taxes.
Public education is no longer effective due to its uniform approach. This may even be politically intended. However, those who can afford it do not send their children to public schools.

Finally, a call to tax capital gains as regular income and use the revenue to provide substantial salary increases for kindergarten teachers, nurses, and sanitation workers.

Also, did I just read inheritance tax = 100%?

In a true meritocracy, inheritance shouldn’t exist—an inheritance does not result from one’s own performance.

Problem at the administrative level involves the tendency to regulate everything, supposedly to prevent harm. Paternalistic fantasies of the state.
The issue with politics, especially social policy, is the desire to control behavior through regulations. It starts with the zoning plan requiring specific hedge plants and extends to campaigns against diesel engines or the redefinition of terms like refugees instead of illegal immigrants. K.

If I have the same tax rate whether I earn 1€ or 1 million euros. Vehicle tax based on kilometers driven rather than emissions per 100 km...

Already taxed assets must be allowed to be passed on, especially with regard to the middle class. Who says that productivity should be limited to one generation?

Nurses often work in the private sector as well but are definitely part of an underpaid professional group.

Garbage collectors (is that politically correct?) I cannot judge.

There must be a basic social security system for those in need. But freeloaders who are simply lazy should not receive these benefits.

Eventually, the high earners get fed up and prefer to move abroad. That is the point when the system ultimately collapses.

Not everyone can be a chief.
Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Nowadays, for example, it is also possible to be successful in skilled trades.
But not everyone can be wealthy. Or rather, everyone probably defines it differently.
Through my wife, I am quite close to education policy in Baden-Württemberg.
Whether at the school or state level, no one wants average grades to get worse. So the grading criteria are simply adjusted.
There is a reason why many companies nowadays have spelling programs where they first send their apprentices...
