House Design
Who created the design:
Planner from a construction company based on our specifications
What stands out positively? Why?: large open dining/living area
What is disliked? Why?: I really don’t notice anything negative
Price Estimate according to architect/planner: approx. 200,000 € turnkey
Personal price limit for the house, including fittings: 250,000 €
Preferred heating technology: air source heat pump

If you have to compromise, which details / features
-can you do without: I don’t think much can be left out here
-can’t you do without: -

Why was the design created as it is now? The design is almost exactly what we planned. Only the room sizes and layout were adjusted.

What is the most important / basic question about the floor plan summarized in 130 characters?

I would simply like to know if at first or second glance the layout could be more functional. Thank you very much.

Floor plan of an apartment: kitchen, living/dining, bedrooms, children’s room, office, bathroom, WC, hallway.

As mentioned before, Leo should, if possible, have his space closer to the living room and entrance, so that later everyone can have their own quiet spot. After all, he will also bring someone over at some point.

A carport and a double office container to be used as a workshop and storage space are planned behind the house. For this reason, there are also considerations to move the main entrance from the front to the right side to avoid having to walk around the entire house from the carport.

The worst possible placement for the vehicles is in a garage or carport southwest of the house, essentially with a view from the barbecue to the radiator grill. 1. It exposes the living room and terrace to the afternoon sun, especially during the already scarce sunny winter months, and 2. it obstructs the view of the garden.

How about a parking space or garage arranged longitudinally along the north side of the house, with the workshop extended from it? This should be possible as a boundary development up to 9 meters (30 feet) in length. This would save the need for privacy screening on the north side toward the street, shorten the driveway, and keep the garden free of cars. ... Of course, there are also people (or so) who like to have their SUV in view from the dining table to make sure the neighbor’s cat doesn’t pee on the tires, but your reasoning for the carport location didn’t come across that way.

The ideal scenario would of course be to keep the garden free, but I haven’t seen a way to fit the carport measuring 6 x 9m (20 x 30 feet) plus the container measuring 6 x 6m (20 x 20 feet) on the north side. As a compromise, we thought about cladding or painting the container nicely. The house would have to be moved significantly backward in order to place the carport on the north side. Even if I took an individual office container measuring 6 x 3m (20 x 10 feet) and positioned it next to the house.

Doesn't it make more sense to use the attic as a storage space instead of placing a container in the garden? Or what is the container supposed to be used for? I haven’t quite understood that yet.

Is it supposed to be a container like the ones used as offices on construction sites? Does anyone really want to have something like that standing on their property permanently?

This whole container thing is completely confusing to me. Is the plan to build a house, add a garage measuring 9 x 6 meters (30 x 20 feet), and now also place a container office? Did I understand that correctly? The floor area ratio is not specified, but are you really allowed to pack everything in like that? And if so, why would someone want to do that?
Could you please draw all of this in the plan?

Has the questionnaire been completed?

Is the office really sufficient for you? I also understood it as just a gaming shelf/sewing room.

The storage space under the roof would be nicer than a container.
If you don’t need the roof space, I would design the gable in the living area to be open. Take a look at Danhaus Seeland.

Check out the Bungalow WB 125 from Team Massiv.
There is a T-shaped bungalow included. It would also separate the work area better from the living space.

I would arrange the garage differently as well.
