Hello everyone,

First of all, I hope this is the right section.

I have received several quotes for the shell construction. I’d like to share the one I currently feel best about; it is affordable, and the owner seems both professional and friendly. The references also looked great.

What do you think of this offer? Should I ask for any changes?

Thanks!!!

PS: I could also share the other offers (they are more expensive, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything)……

You are building—somehow—in an industrial zone, right next to a carpentry workshop?
This brick, even combined with external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS), is practically useless for soundproofing due to its low bulk density of only 750 kg/m³ (47 lb/ft³) and is basically on par with a similarly low-grade aerated concrete block.

Did the building authority approve the wall thickness in the industrial zone without any objections? That would be the height of absurdity...

Next to me is the warehouse; the noise from the production (located on the other side of the warehouse) is hardly noticeable.

But you’re not going to have a 175mm (7 inch) exterior wall, right?

Uhhh, that’s what’s currently planned... how else would it be?

I understand the supplier to mean that the façade will be brick veneer. The standard here would be 24cm (9.5 inches) Ytong plus brick veneer. I am not familiar with Unipor.
The carpentry workshop operates from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. When you are home, it is quiet there. K.

ööööö, so far this is the plan .....how else should it be?

Are you using facing bricks? Then I’m out on how that will be done. But an exterior wall is generally built with bricks no less than 36.5cm (14.4 inches) thick.

Yes, we are getting facing bricks.

I had previously spoken with the facing brick planner/producer... with a 43cm (17 inches) wall, I’m in the safe zone.
