Hello,
my wife and I are building a house. Construction will begin in two weeks.
I would like to have music in the bathroom and on the terrace, and I am currently considering how to implement this, especially what preliminary work might be required from the electrician or others.
We really enjoy listening to music in the bathroom. At the moment, we use an Amazon Echo connected to our Spotify account. However, in the future, I would prefer to avoid using an additional device in the bathroom and instead use discreet built-in ceiling speakers.
In other words, I want to be able to enter the bathroom, take out my phone, select a Spotify playlist, and play it through the speaker(s) installed there.
I am wondering how this works and what I need for it. Unfortunately, I am a complete beginner when it comes to such setups.
The same applies to the terrace. I would like to have a few outdoor speakers there, which I would also like to play via Spotify. Can anyone help me?

Since most loudspeakers tend to sound harsh, I would prefer to mount a Sonos speaker on the wall. It looks sleek, delivers great sound, and can easily be upgraded after a few years.
For this, you need a fixed power connection and a mounting bracket.
This is how we solved it.

For that, you need a permanent power connection and a mounting bracket. And possibly a LAN connection if you do not want to or cannot use Wi-Fi.

For permanent installation in the bathroom, use speakers that are designed for that purpose. Many systems, even excellent ones, use paper cones and other materials that do not perform well with high humidity. Also check for suitability for outdoor use. Install with cables, and if necessary, use decentralized amplifiers.
