Hello everyone,
I spent the weekend trying to design my “dream house.”
I would appreciate receiving personal and objective feedback on this plan.
It’s meant to be more than just a standard home.
Thank you in advance.

A warm-up exercise 😉 ... what can you say about that?
First of all, the forum section https://www.hausbau-forum.de/forums/grundrissplanung-Grundstücksplanung.237/ would be more appropriate, then you would have also come across https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/grundrissplanung-unbedingt-vor-beitrag-erstellung-lesen.11714/.

Is there already a plot of land?

That was post 5 in this thread ... without this information, the floor plan unfortunately only appears as a rough draft. The main flaws have already been pointed out accordingly.

Hello everyone, I have revised the upper floor again..

Do you think it’s better?

Don’t the toilets bother you? Such a large house, yet you only have about 65cm (25.5 inches) left for the toilet at best after plastering. And there’s a slalom to get to the shower as well.

A bit better

The children’s rooms are now at least a decent size and better suited to the house.

I don’t like the hallway with the staircase and open space at all.
You walk up the stairs and see a wall on the left. This again makes the space feel cramped.

The open space above the head of the bed carries every noise upwards.
The bedroom walk-in closet is tiny – try placing proper 60cm (24 inches) deep wardrobes in there; the bedroom has a lot of wasted space.

Bathrooms: the size is okay, but it still looks like a box.
The kids’ bathroom is very narrow and tight. Remember, children often need long help with showering and using the toilet.
Make the shower in the master bathroom a bit wider.

You still manage to plan a huge house with shoe-box-sized elements.
This house, for example, would suit a freestanding bathtub, a glass walk-in shower, a walk-in closet with more wardrobe space that also fits a mirror, and a chest of drawers in the middle.

I pictured the corridor leading to the dining/living area so that you can see straight through the house from just inside the front door all the way to the garden, with no dining table blocking the view..

If you try to explain something like this to a viewer who has a somewhat trained eye, then there is something off about the whole concept.

If anyone has improvements, please share!!

Everything is new, and initially designed without niches, offsets, slanted walls, or double-height spaces.

Sim’s house ... Lego house ... that's what it has to be here

Well then: just take a look! This probably can’t be outdone this year, and the year is still long.

Just have a look:

Small bathroom floor plan with two sinks and toilet, approx. 8.86 m² (95.3 sq ft)

that you can literally see all the way from the front door through the entire house to the garden, with no dining table in the way.

So the mail carrier can already tell when ringing the doorbell if you’re gardening nude *ROTFL*

Seriously: I don’t think having a clear line of sight for anyone who wants to see whether the dog and I are out and the woman is home alone is something to aim for. I also believe the appeal of this “open view” is greatly overestimated in terms of the atmosphere it creates ;-)
