My wife and I were thinking over the weekend about how we want to handle the lighting. Neither of us are skilled tradespeople, and we don’t personally know an electrician who could help us. We have about 20 lamps to be installed throughout all rooms and corridors. How much should it roughly cost if an electrical company does the work on site? (This is not about purchasing the lamps, just the interior installation).
Before we request quotes, we want to get a general idea of the expected cost. The less knowledge you have, the higher the risk of being charged an excessive price (for example, the price range from different companies for installing a circulation pump was between 500 and 1500 euros net).

HilfeHilfe28 Jan 2019 14:11Hello,
like the previous commenters, I would also estimate about half an hour per light fixture at 50 € net plus travel costs.
That means roughly 750 € gross.
You could either ask the electrician who did all the work at your place since they have the necessary tools (Hilti, etc.).
Alternatively, moving companies often do this as well if you have one. And/or check listings on local classifieds like eBay Kleinanzeigen.....

I’m usually the first to delegate work, but if you don’t feel like installing light fixtures, you really should reconsider building your own home Wait a moment... it’s completely fine if no one feels confident doing it!

It is absolutely the right decision to leave it to professionals if you don’t feel confident, have physical limitations, or simply don’t have the time or inclination... Better safe than sorry. It happens all too often that amateurs tamper with the electrical distribution and then something happens... (such as falling off a ladder due to electric shock or worse).
