Hello everyone,

We have two secondary entrance doors that could ideally use some extra burglary protection. Do you have any tips on retrofit systems that could be used for this? The doors are made of uPVC with partial glazing.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions 🙂

Good morning,

thank you for the responses! I have looked at the crossbars – it seems that will be the solution. The doors will only be used when we are already at home, so they will initially be unlocked from the inside; in that case, the bolt is not an issue.

Another question… would you secure a 40x40cm (16x16 inches) window additionally? (Triple-glazed with mushroom head locks)

At least RC2 security level, even for small windows.

For this size, no. Burglars with trained monkeys or vertically challenged accomplices, in my opinion, are not the typical scenario in reality ;-)
