Hello everyone!

We have purchased a triangular plot of land. As if that weren’t complicated enough, there is also a large oak tree that must be considered during the planning. In our initial considerations, it quickly became clear that the floor plan will have an L-shape.

Does anyone here have experience with this type of plot and a correspondingly shaped floor plan? What additional information is needed to get meaningful advice?

Best regards

First of all, thank you very much for your ideas!

The problem with having the entrance in front of the garage is that the driveway would become too steep. Even if the garage were planned as far back as possible, unfortunately, it wouldn’t work. We had this idea as well, although at that time as an entrance to the granny flat.

I like your ideas.

Thank you very much!

A bit of a silly idea... without considering the floor plans. To have the main entrance through the garage...? So, the access path would be directly above it? Although then you would have to carry all the groceries down a flight of stairs... hmm.

The garage is not allowed to be entered. We didn’t know that either. That’s why I’m considering doing without a garage altogether. Then the idea of a side entrance to the house could be realized....

I thought it was even supposed to have greenery on it? How are you supposed to hoe weeds there if you’re not allowed on it?

I’d say forget the garage. A nice carport is definitely enough, and for garden tools, you can later put up a permit-exempt shed at the other end of the property.

What is the oak doing?
