Hello!

I am considering combining my surface drainage into a sort of small channel and directing it onto a neighboring meadow. But of course, not in an obvious way—instead, making it look like a garden pond is overflowing…

Or, to put it differently: Due to elevation issues, I cannot connect to the municipal surface drainage system, and I don’t think infiltration is a good option…

What are your thoughts on this, and do you know of any alternatives?

Stormwater must infiltrate on the property itself, and how this is done is regulated, among other things, by the respective building code. Your idea could result in fines in the five-digit range (at least in our federal state).

Hello ... thank you very much for your reply!

I’m already aware that this is prohibited. I would design it in such a way that it would only be noticeable if someone looks during heavy rain...
And it’s not the neighbor’s flower bed, but a pasture for cows.

Usually, you have to prove how you are managing drainage....

And first of all, do you (do you? Does anyone have a dictionary at hand?) consider this nonsense to be set in stone—black and white in a forum for posterity? So that in case of doubt, there is no question about your intention.

What exactly is going on in your mind? What kind of advice are you expecting here?

Well, it could have been possible, for example, that with the owner’s permission, the rainwater may also drain onto neighboring meadows...

Furthermore, what I do and what I think are two different matters... just because I’m discussing it here doesn’t mean I will actually implement it that way.

(and "hältst" is correct)
