Sascha95Hello everyone,
I would like to get your opinion.
I have 70 sqm (753 sq ft) to cover in four rooms and a hallway. I have already purchased laminate flooring and baseboards.
I have now received a quote of 2000 EUR for the following work, including materials:
1. Sanding the floor because there are still adhesive residues (carpet/tiles) on it.
2. Leveling the floor with self-leveling compound.
3. Installing an underlay.
4. Installing the laminate flooring.
5. Attaching the baseboards.
Is this price excessive, reasonable, or normal?
Thanks in advance.

Expensive.
If you buy laminate flooring in a laminate house, installation often costs only 10 euros per m2 (about $10 per sq ft).
In your case, there is more work to do, but the price difference shouldn't be that big.But only on a finished substrate.
Removing adhesive residue is a real pain. Smoothing it out evenly certainly takes more than half an hour.
