Hello everyone,
We have requested quotes for windows and external blinds for our extension.
Could you please share your opinion or assessment on whether the price in the following offer seems reasonable to you?
I’m confident about the quality of workmanship by the window manufacturer.
My main concern is whether I should accept the quoted price as it stands.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Melanie

The window prices seem reasonable—without knowing the quality, of course. However, there is always a good way to find out for yourself. 1. Configure a comparable window in various online stores and compare the prices, and 2. request a quote from a different supplier.
But now I understand why I don’t like external venetian blinds and why I will never have them. They are actually twice as expensive as the windows.

Is it intentional to use only Quadro P instead of Quadro XP and to get insect screens separately?
100% prepayment does not work well with withholding payment as a guarantee for proper completion.

For comparison, here is an offer we currently have:
Schüco Living 82 MD, triple glazing Ug = 0.6
1000 x 2200 fixed glazing, both sides laminated = €360
Schüco Thermoslide SI 82 lift-and-slide door
2300 x 2125, both sides laminated = €2700
Installation and required materials are extra.
I also find the roller shutters ridiculously expensive. For that price, I’d rather buy a full-grown tree from a nursery and let it provide the shade ;-)

Thanks in advance for your comment.
The insect screen is only intended for the lift-and-slide door.
This means that the lift-and-slide door has an integrated insect screen that is essentially foldable and can simply be pulled sideways over the opening when the sliding door is open.
Since we have chosen fixed glazing for all windows (except the lift-and-slide door), we can theoretically use the blinds without insect screens.
But your question is completely valid.
@11ant
I totally agree with you.
I will not accept that.
I have never seen a case where 100 percent has to be paid upfront, especially for an amount of this size.
I will ask the window manufacturer how they propose to handle security for the payment.
