hada2018Hello everyone,
we have a small problem. Last year, we purchased a plot of land from the local authority and have already started planning the house. We designed everything ourselves, the architect reviewed it all and then redrew the plans professionally. Soil tests, land surveying, thermal insulation certificates, etc., have all been completed. Now that the construction phase is approaching, we are becoming increasingly uncertain. We already own a house that we would sell, and the longer we live here, the less comfortable we feel with the idea of building a new home.
Has anyone experienced something similar? The new plot is significantly smaller, and the house would actually be our dream home, but it offers considerably less space than we have now. At the same time, our current house will require many renovations over the next 10 years. We are torn back and forth.
Looking forward to ideas and feedback. Thank you.

Matthew0310 Oct 2018 13:40What kind of ideas are you expecting? That someone who doesn’t know you, your story, or all the circumstances will make this decision for you? I find that unrealistic. Even with genuine and constructive feedback here, I see no real benefit for you.
It rather seems that you have already made your decision and are now looking for support to justify this “unusual process.”
Feedback: If you don’t want to continue building, then don’t. It seems this is not about economic considerations.

What were your goals back then? And have they changed since?
