ᐅ Stair treads appear darker in the middle after being covered for 14 days.

Garten2Hello everyone!
A new wooden staircase (I think it’s oiled oak) was covered in the middle with painter’s fleece for protection for 14 days.
Today, the fleece was removed, and we were shocked to find that the exposed edges on both sides had darkened.
My questions:
Is there anything that should or could be done about this?
Will the middle part of the steps also darken over 14 days so that everything matches again, or will it take longer? Or will the difference always be visible?
The staircase builder saw the covering when installing the handrail but unfortunately didn’t say anything about it darkening so quickly.
Unfortunately, I can’t upload a photo because I forgot how to do it.

Below the text box, there is an option labeled "Upload file." You select the file on your computer, click "upload," and then choose whether to display it as full-size or thumbnail.

That’s not a problem, it will even out again after a short time. Thanks – you were right.
I visited the house again today and specifically checked.
If you don’t know about it, you can’t see any difference anymore.
