And to stay on topic, here’s also a photo of the beginning of the staircase...I think the color of the stair treads is a great choice for the flooring. Light, but not too clinical. It matches the floor, yet there’s enough contrast so you don’t get the impression that you tried to match the flooring exactly and just couldn’t pull it off.
Please don’t reply now saying this isn’t the final color XD
I like it. I get the impression that you already have a clear overall concept — at least based on what we have seen so far.
With all the decisions we have to make during the construction phase, we constantly need to remind ourselves how everything should look in the end. There is a risk of instinctively choosing individual elements based on personal taste, which might look nice on their own but do not fit into the overall concept.
In the end, you might find, for example, country house features in a Mediterranean-style city villa...

That was intentional. Oak white-oiled. I find regular beech ugly, everything else was too expensive for us. So this compromise, which turned out really well. I also think the staircase looks really good and would love to know the price. At the moment, we have chosen regular beech as well, also with risers, but the white finish inside looks really stylish. Everything in our house is currently beech, including the railing, etc.
Was a half-turn staircase also an option for you? I find those also look really good, but maybe even more expensive?
