ᐅ Looking for a construction company in the Greater Stuttgart area!

Hello,

we have purchased a plot of land near Stuttgart and submitted a building permit application. Unfortunately, the cost estimates keep increasing.
The project is a single-family house with a living area of 250 m² (2690 sq ft), including a double garage and basement, KfW40+ standard.

Can anyone recommend a construction company in the greater Stuttgart area?

Do I understand correctly that you already have a construction company or an architect on board? In general, if the cost estimate consistently and inexplicably shifts in one direction, something is wrong. However, a few more details wouldn’t hurt, as it’s not entirely clear what has happened.

In the Stuttgart area, for a size like that (I assume including usable floor space you are around 300 square meters (3200 square feet)), I would expect at least 700,000.

Not recommending, as I have no experience, but Fermo Solid House might be suitable?

I would part ways with the architect immediately.
Where exactly are you building? I know a few general contractors in the Pforzheim area who might be suitable.

We compared three companies in detail and ended up with Fermo. The prices from the somewhat trustworthy construction companies were exactly the same. Since the build has not started yet, I can’t say if they are really as good as they seem so far. Let’s see...

I understand that the building permit / planning permission application is already in process. Isn’t it a problem to switch now? The copyright of the design belongs to the architect, so everything would have to be redone from scratch. I think only @budbrd can answer that to shed some light on it.
