Sam-Dieter28 Aug 2018 17:23Hello everyone,
I own a plot of land in Bavaria with an area of 600 m² (7,292 ft²). It is a south-facing slope that I would like to raise using the excavation material from the construction. The land drops a total of 170 cm (67 inches). Retaining walls would still need to be built.
Towards the street, the land is level and slopes further down towards the garden at the back.
Do I need a building permit / planning permission for this?
Regards,
Christian

Sam-Dieter28 Aug 2018 18:10I would need a wall all around, but only up to half height on the longer sides. That would be about 40 meters (130 feet) of retaining wall. The idea was that I could use the excavation material from the basement there, since in my area the disposal already costs around 15,000 euros, and I would prefer a level plot.
Is there a development plan? What does it specify? Are there any regulations regarding drainage? Water supply and soil association? You should ask the local municipality. A building permit / planning permission is not initially required for civil engineering and landscape gardening. You are not constructing a building.
