Hello,

how is it usually handled with large lift-and-slide doors regarding roller shutters? Is it possible to install standard roller shutters even for, for example, a 6m (20 feet) wide window area?

Best regards,

Roller shutters can only be installed up to a certain width. At 6m (20 feet), this will most likely require two roller shutters.

3rd result on Google, a roller shutter manufacturer, mentions a maximum width of 6m (20 feet). However, I didn’t quickly check whether this applies to electric shutters or not, or which materials are involved.

With a width like that, I would definitely go for electric roller shutters. Otherwise, it would be impossible to raise them manually.

Two roller shutters wouldn’t be a problem if they can be installed on continuous window fronts like these, right?
But that’s exactly where I lack knowledge and have doubts. Where are the roller shutters supposed to be guided if it’s a sliding door? That’s what I actually meant.

Is this a 6m (20 feet) lift-and-slide door? So, 3m (10 feet) fixed panel and 3m (10 feet) movable sliding door?
