PaydayHello,
we have a refrigerator-freezer combination from Liebherr (ICBN 3366-20) with a No Frost system. About a year ago, the freezer door was accidentally left slightly open (one compartment was stuck...), and since then the No Frost function has stopped working. If you defrost manually, a thin layer of ice appears on the baskets again within one day, and over time, icicles and similar ice build-ups form.
The unit is almost 3 years old now, the ice maker still works as before. Everything else functions normally, but the No Frost system seems either broken or disabled. Does anyone have any advice?

According to the manual, moisture in the freezer compartment is supposed to condense on the evaporator, then be periodically defrosted and evaporated. For some reason, however, the unit is not doing this. Everything in the refrigerator section is still working, and the condensate drain is clean and empty.
